Ascot Home

I used to live across the road from this house. Their renovation took about 2 years. The owners only moved in briefly, then sold it. They did achieve about $3,500,000 for it in 2007, and consider it backs onto units on Racecourse Road, it was probably a good price. Brilliant renovation. My favourite parts are the outdoor pool house, the kitchen and the front of the house with several gables.

If anybody knows the builders/architects, I am more than happy to acknowledge them in this blog, so please send through the details.

Formal Gardens

Privacy would be nice with my garden. Unfortunately it takes awhile for trees to grow. The front of my yard is facing west, so I'm looking for inspiration as to what will grow quickly in full sun.

Nice to see an Australian garden designer which is worth a mention.

Pretty Rooms - lordshippark.com

Lordshippark.com What an amazing website, and an amazing house. I like so many different styles, and this house embodies most of them. If only it was feasible to do a project like this in Australia, or more so Brisbane. Lordship Park is a Victorian house over 4 levels, which is advertised as a photographic location. I think will be my next career move, once I earn the money to build/renovate a house like this, furnish it and advertise it. Please contact me if you would like to find my extravagant idea!

In particular - I adore the stairs (last image)
